We started the day near the Houston Space center and stopped by for a visit. This space center is MUCH different than Florida's Cape Canaveral. It is more of a hands on opposed to seeing real rockets. Still most enjoyable and worth stopping by. The cloud over NASA is this place and Cape Canaveral are slated to be closed...that would be MOST disappointing if that occurs considering how much history are at both places.
After we left NASA, we drove 380 miles to New Orleans...through some severe weather coming out of Houston.
After a long drive we arrived at a very secure campground (barb wire on the 10' concrete walls...almost like prison), but very upscale. We are 2 blocks from the french Quarter, and next too one of New Orleans famous cemetery's, we just can't see it over the walls...LOL.
Today we will walk the French Quarter, take a carriage ride, and hopefully eat well, and get some great photos.
Until tomorrow, please have a very Blessed Day!
