So on this day July 15, 2014 ends the era of the Dirla
Adventures as we have all grown to know since 2009. As of 10:05am est., Craig from Motorhomes of
Texas officially took ownership of our beloved motorhome. This day has been filled with wicked mixed emotions,
and in all earnest one of the greater losses of my life. Now I know it is a material item, but it has
been an integral part of our family, and has kept us safe for the 80,000 miles
we drove through this BEAUTIFUL country, so how can one not be sad or
attached. It kept us dry in many a
storm, and warm on some very cold high altitude nights, while always keeping us
cool on those 110 degree days.
So as much as I know it is just an item that can be
replaced, it still feels like I have a hollow hole that will take time to
fill. I am blessed beyond words for all
I have and the wonderful and loving family and friends, and it has truly been
an adventure the past several years but I will wallow in self-pity for a few
days….
Thank you all for following us, and allowing me to
pontificate these past few years, and until our next adventure, have a very
BLESSED DAY! With much Love….Fred.
Really how can I be sad! WELL I AM....LOL...God Bless, and I can't wait to share the next chapter.
