Day 9 / 10
July 9th , 2013:
Good afternoon from BRIDGEWATER, NJ…that’s right we arrived home
today around 11:00 am., after 24hrs of a marathon drive from the middle of Iowa. Yesterday morning we left the campground at
7:00 am., to head back to Moscow Iowa for the re-repair of the one Hydraulic
hose. After 130 mile drive to repair
center and a 2 hour repair we headed east.
On the way we decided to stop and visit the American Picker shop (from
the Discovery Channel TV show). Very
interesting place to visit and it was rather funny just how many tourists
stopped by while we were there. After
some short debate it was decided to head home opposed to going to the Air Space
Museum. Once decided, I settled in for
the remainder of the 1,000 mile drive. On
the way through Indiana, we FINALLY stopped at the Notre Dame campus. Very nice campus, and way out in the middle
of know where. After some 800 miles for
the day, we stopped over for the night at a Walmart parking lot about 60 miles
into PA. Today July 9th, we
pushed out from the parking lot around 6:00am., for the last 300+ miles. Around 40 miles from the house I noticed my
air system was over-pressurized. After
some very tense oh no moments, I found a blown hose that I was able to
re-connect and make the rest of the trip home.
After arriving, Grandma Ro-Ro and Fluffy (aka Charlie) dropped Buddy off…OMG,
he was SO spoiled at their house, we are all not sure he wanted to come home…THANKS
MOM AND CHARLIE!!!!!! In addition CC,
neighbors, and others also stopped by so it’s been a busy afternoon.
All and all an AWESOMELY FAST and SUPER BLESSED trip.
Famous Notre Dame Stadium!
A quick McDonald's run...
