Day 1 June 30th
, 2013:
Good morning from Toledo Ohio from a Walmart parking lot…that’s
right 600 miles into the trip, and we have already gone shopping at midnight! Well
now I know its official and the Adventure is OFFICIALLY started! Thank GOD this
trip through Ohio didn’t begin with a 35 gallon shower of Diesel like I had 2
years ago, I literally had flash backs the entire state!
Ok, enough lamenting…we left the house today around 11:00am., with
no fanfare, no good-bye parade, just us lonely travelers (less Buddy, who
apparently is already spoiled after just one night at Grandma Ro-Ro’s!).
We took our time and all really just chillaxed. Nicholas watching
scary movies in the back, but pausing and joining us up front and chatting
about him being the next big DJ, Michael with his nose in his phone but sitting
upfront with me, talking about Rutgers and how excited he is, Patty playing
flight attendant, and me un-winding! It really was an awesome day….until we
decided to go and see the Cuyahoga Valley National Park…wholly smokes, what a
frigging white knuckle drive. The frigging trees were hanging so low they were
smacking the windshield. We actually tore a branch off and Michael had to
un-hook from the MH…all of this in an effort for Michael to see all the NP’s. LOL…it
really besides the tree’s an easy and tranquil park. The water fall in the end,
Brandywine Falls, was not huge, but worth the stop!
Sorry for rambling, I slept in and had too much coffee…so like I
like to say, an absolutely BLESSED DAY!!!!!
For the weak of heart don't try this.while driving 72 mph a 50k pound bus,
however, I thought I hit the jackpot... 77,777...
Truely a BLESSED day!
