Day 2 July 1st
, 2013:
Good evening from Moscow Iowa (1,000 miles into the trip!)
Today was a typical non planned day for us. We mixed, a good deal of work, an unscheduled
stop at a museum and topped the night off with a movie in Davenport Iowa before
we drove the last 40 miles to the repair center. It was a short drive relatively speaking and
for most of the trip the family was up front joking and relaxing…doesn’t get
better than that!
The Museum was the RV Museum and it was worth the stop to see the
1st RV produced in 1913, up to the modern marvels on the road
today. After that we enjoyed the
absolute HORRIBLE roads of Indiana en-route to go see Monsters Inc., University
(Patty somehow found the perfect theater off the highway). It was totally a perfect ending to a great
day…Patty and I utterly embarrassed Michael and Nicholas! It doesn’t get better than that.
Aside from all the family time being the highlight of the day, we
did have some heart stopping moment in which the car 2 in front of us
trailering a Quad decided it didn’t want to stay on the trailer anymore and
cartwheel a few feet in front of us (we were doing 75mph and I was on a
conference call), and then it weaved its way across 3 lanes of traffic
literally missing ALL the cars going just as fast! Truthfully a heart stopping moment in which
the big man upstairs had his hand on all our backs…
Well, tomorrow we get the MH fixed, and hope it is a fast repair
and we can be on the road early…once the repair is complete we will decide
where to go next…so stay tuned and have a very BLESSED DAY!!!!!

RV /MH Hall of fame!
Tom...thinking of you buddy!
A true "Pimp" Machine...Motorhome built on a Cadillac Eldorado

This reminded me of the "Rocket Man"
This was my favorite...very cool looking.
Russ...this was all you big guy!
An ending to a truely Blessed Day!
