Day 8 July 7th
, 2013:
Good morning once again from Altoona, Iowa. Yesterday was a day of nothingness…we all
slept in, and didn’t leave the MH until 4pm.
Actually I still stayed in the MH.
Patty and the boys went to the pool for a short time. After they came back we walked to a Casino
next to the campground (had to be ¾ mile walk) for dinner at A.J’s
Steakhouse. Very nice meal, but the
Casino was weird. TONS, and I mean TONS
of armed guards, and they were everywhere.
I was told no photo’s a tad gruffly I may add, when I went to take a
shot of the restaurant (My Dads dog is named AJ…). After the photo incident we went to go and
look at the casino to maybe place a little wager, but you had to be 21, and you
couldn’t get near the floor with all the guards, so we bagged it and went home. A real chillaxing day!
Today is an early start as I want to be back at repair center by
9:00am. Then we start the final 1k home…Not sure what route yet, but we are
discussing stopping at the American Pickers store, and then to an Air Museum in
Ohio. Both not confirmed. The Goal is to be home Tuesday night late,
mid-day Wednesday. It all depends on me
and how hard and far I want to drive.
Well, until the next post, please have a Blessed day!
Thought I was going to get the camera confiscated because of this...
The Sunsets out West are really something special, and I think we are spoiled and numb to just how different they are from back East / Home...However, I saw some photos from the Sunset back home yesterday after the storm which looked very cool...
Another Blessed Day!
