Lots of up and Down on Rt 17, in Arizona...4 Times!
Good evening / morning Zion Ponderosa, Utah
Zion Ponderosa is not where we were supposed to be, we should have been in the Grand Canyon. However, based on the MH window delay and some business that has arisen on the west coast, we needed to shift the plans up and skip Grand Canyon, and Wahweep Lake (Lake Powell). On the way to Zion we passed Antelope Canyon which is a Photographers DREAM!!!!! Michael, found the ultimate tour in the lower canyon, and although it was 110 deg, and we needed to go into the canyon 100 feet or so and walk ½ mile…we were treated to an un-believable site….Antelope Canyon is by far, the most majestic place we have been. If you ever get a chance, this is a must see, and the lower canyon is MUCH better than the upper…and Kens Tour company was awesome!
After the canyon we drove the last 90 miles and ended up at a place we stayed 3 years ago. We are 7,000 feet up and overlooking the East entrance of Zion national park. This is a great place, and we have plans to stay here for 3 maybe 4 nights…we can use it, since we have been really pushing it. Over 3,700 miles already and have been in too many to count states…so a little stability and some awesome hiking will do us good.
Leaving Phoenix and heading up north into Navajo country I was reminded again, just how generous we (USA) were by giving the Navajo Indians, such baron land! Still cannot get my head around it, but the land they inhabit, is breathtaking from a vast perspective. The mountains and colors are really awesome, and I cannot get enough of them.
If any of you were wondering, Ken from RV Glass did a great job in replacing the window, and truthfully the MH drove better. I am not sure it is possible, but it almost seems the other window was put in cocked, and it twisted the front of the MH…but the new one was put in really straight, and I swear it made a difference!
Well, I can ramble, but I won’t so I will say goodnight after a really long day and just say today was another really BLESSED day!
