Good morning / evening from Yuma, Arizona….
Well its official, we are now headed East…Boo Hoo!!!!!
Today was San Diego Zoo and officially the last West thing we did. The zoo was really spectacular! The crowd not so much…but the weather and unique animals was very cool…After about 5 hours, we drove 180 miles east to Yuma. The drive was really interesting, and going through the Southern part of California into Arizona was similar to Joshua National Park, BIG boulders and very unique landscape. Then out of nowhere you are 1 mile from the Mexican border, and man was that weird…TONS of cops and border patrol. Now all that know me know politically how I lean, but I must say you would have no heart but to feel bad for ANYONE that treks across the God forsaken land from Mexico to USA…OMG, it is absolutely scary…it is clear why so many actually die during the crossing…there were several make shift memorials all over the place, very sad and scary…Yuma is an interesting place. I wish we could stay long, but 1st thing in the am., we push out…so I will make note to come back here some day.
