2012 West Coast Adventure, Day 33 HOME!

Day 33 FINAL DAY July 25th , 2012:

Good morning / evening from BRIDGEWATER, NJ…

Well, we made it home 1 ½ hr’s before Michael's Birthday…I drove hard yesterday and we arrived home at 10:30pm... What a drive it was! Through Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia was beyond bizarre. I cannot explain, but it was just bizarre drivers, not “bad”, just could not make heads or tails of pattern’s or process…so it was an extremely tough 5 hours through those areas. Couple that with MORE construction and delays, and I must admit I didn’t think I would make it…but then it all opened up and the drive became peaceful, and enjoyable.

Although it may have appeared we had a ton of issues with the MH, in all earnest we could not have been more blessed with good fortune. All the hick-ups happened in VERY convenient locations, and NONE, stopped us. They delayed us and each delay brought a new blessing, so I am CONVINCED they happened for a reason. Also, it needs to be called out, we hammered the MH for 33 days, in 100+ degree weather, up and down up to 10,000 feet mountains…based on that, I don’t know of a car that would not have had a problem, let alone a house on wheels, driving in 80mph hurricane winds for 4 hrs a day…truthfully, the MH is an absolute BEAST of a machine, that has protected us and dragged us across the USA, with a lot of help from God!

In the industry they say “NOTHING CLIMBS LIKE A CAT”…this of course referring to our engine…Caterpillar!

Now, not to be too sentimental, I need to pause and thank ALL of my co-workers, Investors, friends, and most important FAMILY for the support over the last few weeks. Without this our family would not be able to do these adventures…so THANK YOU!!!!!!

In closing, this trip has by far been the most adventurous we have had yet! We did not get rained on one day…each stop was something new…each location cemented a new memory…we did more hiking than any other trip…we saw more nature, but most of all, we “bonded” as a family even more than we already were. It is a blessing beyond blessings, to be able to spend this time with Patty and the boys for this long.

Our trips have become stories, and these blogs are my way of capturing my thoughts. However, it seems over the years the blogs have taken on a life all by themselves, and actually have become part of our adventure. In the end, what started as a way for me to remember I believe has inspired others to embark on the same type of journey…with family!

With much love and blessings, I sign off for 2012, and look forward to our next adventure…thank you all for following, and as they say in Bugs Bunny….”that’s all folks”

ONE ULTIMATE BLESSED ADVENTURE!!!!!!!!
