Good afternoon from Lake Powell at Glen Canyon National Park
Yesterday was supposed to be an un-eventful drive, but turned out to be a treat of surprises.
As we drove north away from the South Rim we saw the whole outer edge of the Grand Canyon, and stopped at the Deserted Tower which is the highest point on the South rim. What an opportunity to see the Canyon from this tower. You really feel on top of the world.
As we closer to Lake Powell, after seeing some awesome scenery on Route 89, we drove over the Glenn Dam Bridge. WOW, this is in some ways nicer than the Hoover Dam, and is slightly bigger (16’ shorter, but wider). There were no crowds and it was a real treat to see.
After leaving the dam you enter Glen Canyon, and basically you are in the base of a canyon like the Grand Canyon but on a lake like Lake Meade, Very awesome sight!
Until tomorrow, please have a very blessed day!
