2011 North West Adventure, Day 22

Day 22 July 24th 2011:

Good evening for the 3rd blog from West Glacier. We all DEFINITELY slept in today! We were supposed to be on the rapids by 11:00, but pushed it out till 1:30. The vertigo took its toll, but man looking back at the images from yesterday well worth it!

Due to the dizziness, I bailed on the white water rapids, but Patty and the boys went and boy did they have a blast…the water was 45 deg, so Michael and Nicholas jumping in took their breath away, literally…

I somehow found the spot about 100 - 150 feet below the road, at the one rapid called “bone crusher” where they take the photos to sell. The trail was no more than 1 foot wide and had to be a 15 % grade all the way to the river. Pretty steep carrying all the camera gear…LOL

Needless to say, the “photographers” at the bottom did not like me being there, but oh well…I got what I was looking for! Some GREAT shots of the family in action, less me of course!

We are enjoying this campground and National Park, immensely and are sad we are leaving tomorrow, but the road show must continue. This is a place you could EASILY do several days and still not see ¼ of what it has to offer…just absolutely HUGE!

Well, we are going to stroll around a little, then hit the bed early….so until the next Blog, please have a very BLESSED Day!

Hey how did dad get there...was the look!
