Day 23 July 25th 2011:
Good evening from Billings, Montana. We decided to push a little today, mostly because with RV’ing, if you don’t like the weather, just move! We were scheduled to be in Great Falls, Montana ½ way between Glacier and Billings…but when we got to Great Falls, a storm was brewing, so we all voted for dad to drive another 220 miles….and I must say, it was a spectacular drive! If you have ever been to the grand state of Texas, and think that is “Big”…come to Montana! EVERYTHING is just absolutely in grand scale!
Once again we saw the curvature of the Earth, some wild Goats on a cliff – Goat Lick Overlook - , and such varying degrees of landscape that there are simply no words to describe; except…sheer beauty! We once again took a scenic by-way Rt. 87 out of Glacier, and we were treated to everything this grand land can server up! The Rockies were to our left the whole trip, we were at 4,000 – 5,000 feet all day and as I have already stated we saw the curve – which is still too cool for words…just simply a FANTASTIC ride!
We are settled in the campground which we came to in 2009, and are watching a movie, and getting ready to discuss tomorrow’s adventure…we are now 1 day ahead of schedule and it feels GREAT!
So I will bid you all a good night and speak to you on the next Blog….so until then please have a very BLESSED Day!
This was actually taken last night after I posted photos....Tough life! WE ARE ALL VERY BLESSED!!!!!
The shadow in back of the head is another goat.
Just crazy landscape...
This minute man missile was in the middle of a town square...only in the West!
The storm we left!
