2011 North West Adventure, Day 2

Day 2 July 5th, 2011:

Good morning from South Bend Indiana.

Unlike yesterdays blog this will be short and sweet. Yesterday was a perfect day. Morning was great at the campground Nicholas went swimming in the lake, we left early afternoon and the Motorhome worked like a champ! We hit absolutely NO traffic, and the scenery is starting to open. We can tell we are getting close to the real nice landscapes. We did make one stop at a Wal-Mart and Lowes. Wal-Mart to buy the traditional Hormel Party Platter – Nicholas likes to have a party in the front with snacks, I am sure this will be one of many…Lowes to buy some filters for the cab area to dampen the diesel smell left from the night before, so a parking lot engineering job was needed. LOL!

When we arrived at the new campground, relaxed and Nicholas went…what a shock – SWIMMING! He is a man in action, while Michael is still recovering from his weeklong trip to the FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America - Nationals in Orlando, where I think he slept 20 hours in 6 days….so he is DEFINITELY catching up.

Side note: The South Bend KOA, has this “Vintage Soda collection…very cool, and is like being back in the 50-60’s…

Today we head out to Iowa to get some scheduled Hydraulic work done at HWH, and if time permits we may swing by Chicago for a couple of hours, so until tomorrow, please have a Blessed day!

1st Campground in Ohio

Classic Coke bottle...and ORIGINAL  made from Cane Sugar taste.  Man I forgot how good the original actually was!
The "Geni"  taught to Nicholas by Andrew S....Thanks Andrew ;-).
Thank God Michael is tall...he can now help clean the windshield...needs to be cleaned 2 - 4 times PER DAY!

  1. Glad today was uneventful for you. I hope the balance of the trip goes that way.
I wish I was swimming and not working. I am bummed.
